Sicily is a hidden gem that instantly transports you to a sun-soaked village in southern Italy the moment you walk through the door. The atmosphere feels warm and authentic—rustic décor, soft music, and the kind of charm that makes you forget you’re still in the city. Every dish bursts with flavor and freshness, but the bread and olive oil alone could be a reason to come back; they’re simply phenomenal, rich and perfectly balanced. The service is impeccable—attentive without being intrusive, and delivered with genuine warmth. Sicily isn’t just a restaurant; it’s an experience that captures the heart and soul of southern Italy in every detail.

The limona was the perfect amount of tart and sweet! In fact, every dish was so bewitchingly balanced that we couldn't stop eating until it was gone! Highly recommend the sprouts, too.

Excellent Italian restaurant. Easy walk from a Broadway show. The food is wonderful and the service is impeccable. It was amazing how quickly the food came out to the table. This is a definitely one we will return to next time in NYC.

The whole staff is very welcoming and are lovely people. The food here is amazing, including the drinks. Time passes when you’re here, specially when having casual drinks with friends. David is passionate about his job and does an amazing job at the bar. My whole experience was unique and amazing. I recommend bringing all loved ones here.

The service and food were amazing! We went for my mom’s birthday and they sung her happy birthday. The atmosphere felt really nice, our waiters were great and everything we ordered came out in a flash. Would recommend and can’t wait to go again!

We absolutely loved our meal at Sicily Osteria! We are politely and professionally greeted the minute we walked into the door. We were seated very promptly as per our reservation time. Our server Roberto was the best! He answered all our questions about the menu respectfully and with a smile. He was very professional and personable. The food was absolutely delicious. We were in awe over the meatball appetizer. The sword fish special was out of this word. We also tremendously enjoyed the chicken parm entree. The fish and chicken were both extremely soft and fresh. Probably the best dinner we ever had in New York City. We ordered the pistachio cheesecake and cappuccino for desert - we were very glad we did because it was a great way to end our meal. The ambiance and atmosphere of the restaurant is perfect. Very quant and beautiful. There are a lot of dining options in NYC, but this place is not to be missed.

The pasta dishes are very unique. The potato croce were good but they needed something acidic. The pesto didn't do it. The arancino (note it's not plural as it usually is seen) was tasty enough and big for being 1 bell shaped rice ball. The spaghetti chittara had a decent amount of crab meat and am interesting combination of textures: cream sauce, flaky crab, spaghetti noodle, and crunchy pistachio. The casarecce sauce was delicious and very meaty. The limone sicilia dessert was gorgeous and delicious. It's very tart, which I like in my lemon dishes. The only disappointment was the pana de casa. We paid for the bread because it looked amazing, but everyone around us got a different complimentary basket of bread. The pana was smaller than expected and very dense and very floral with rosemary. I think I would have preferred the rustic ciabatta everyone else had.

We stopped in for dinner before our show, and they’re clearly well-prepared for pre-theater crowds. Most guests were also heading to performances, and our server made sure we stayed perfectly on schedule. We went with the $45 Restaurant Week menu. The tuna carpaccio was quite bland and lacked flavor, but the meatballs were solid. The short ribs were missing some juiciness and seasoning, while the lasagna was enjoyable. Desserts were excellent, and the $25 bottle specials for Restaurant Week were a nice touch. Overall, it worked well as a pre-show spot.

Great pre-theater restaurant. Attentive staff didn't rush us while also serving us in a timely way to get to the play on time. Two of us had the restaurant week specials, and one had a regular meal. The shrimp scampi was fabulous, as was the eggplant rollotini appetizer. (I would've been happy just sopping up the vodka sauce!) Loved the mini olive oil can for the bread. And the desserts were delicious! The minestrone in a bread bowl was the only disappointment: it had zucchini, onions, and carrots....no beans or pasta so I'm not sure how minestrone was defined.

I consider this restaurant to be the perfect spot for Italian food if you’re near Times Square or heading to a Broadway show. From the moment we arrived, the experience was excellent. The host was extremely friendly, and we really appreciated hearing the backstory about the restaurant, its origins, and the family that owns it, it added such a personal touch. All of the staff was absolutely fantastic and very knowledgeable about the menu. Our server made excellent recommendations, and everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed both the food and drinks. One staff member even offered us complimentary shots at the end of the meal, which was such a fun and unexpected gesture. The complimentary bread service was incredible, easily some of the best bread I’ve had in New York. You can truly tell that the pasta is freshly made and that high-quality ingredients are used throughout the menu. Another big plus was how quickly the food came out, which is especially important if you’re trying to make it to a Broadway show on time. The atmosphere was intimate and welcoming, making you feel right at home. We really enjoyed our time here and would absolutely come back to try more dishes. Highly recommend.
